East Cambridgeshire District Council is making some changes to the days on which they collect your waste.

As from March 28th 2022 your waste collection day will be a MONDAY.

The changes are being introduced by East Cambs Street Scene (ECSS) which operates independently as a trading arm of East Cambridgeshire District Council.  These changes are being brought in so we can improve service efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.

By doing this, each year they will:

• Use 5000 litres less of diesel
• Reduce carbon dioxide output by 12 tonnes

This is equivalent to taking one truck off the road every single day!

The frequency of collections will remain the same, with Black sacks collected weekly and Blue and Green bins collected fortnightly.

ECDC state they realise that residents have had to cope with a lot of recent changes to their bin collections, which they state they really appreciated but hope you will help them again by supporting this project as it will help benefit everyone in the longer term, especially the environment.

There will be a flyer coming through residents postboxes shortly, if not already arrived, with the A5 reference sheet for dates.
